Along with this, the wives of the soldiers of the Indian Peace Keeping Force who were martyred in Sri Lanka are also given 75% concession in second and sleeper class as per the rules of Indian Railways.
Apart from this, the wives of policemen and paramilitary personnel martyred in action against terrorists and extremists are also given 75% concession in second and sleeper class fares. There is also a provision to give 75% concession in second class and sleeper fares to the wives of soldiers martyred in the Kargil war.

Families of Indian martyrs are given concessions while traveling in flights. While in railways only the wives of martyrs are given concessions in fares, in flights this concession is given to the entire family of the martyrs.
